Spring/Summer '18: From Inspiration to Creation

For Spring/Summer '18 we were inspired by the Oaxacan coast, in particular the sleepy beach town of Mazunte. We drew our color palette from the colors of sea, sand, and the pops of coral and papaya.

The palette of the seashore is not only visually pleasing, but emotionally evocative. From the murky emerald of deeper waters to the light-hearted brightness of crystal blue, these colors stir up emotions and bring up memories. We followed that childhood nostalgia of summery beach pastimes, and combined that with a very Oaxacan location, to arrive at the inspiration for our SS18 Collection.

We paired this playful palette with a beautiful blond leather, to compliment your spring wardrobe. The result is 28 brand new bags for all your summer adventure needs.

In order to take these new bags for a test drive, we collaborated with Oaxaca-based photographer "ChuchoPotts" and up-and-coming Mexico City-based model Bakuza Olguien. Our Spring/Summer Lookbook was shot in a colonial-era home in Oaxaca, Mexico. We loved how the adobe walls, century-old cacti, and cool blue pool mirrored the vibe and colors of the new collection.

One of our favorite models from SS18 is the brand new Anita Clutch. With a slim profile, perfect for tucking under your arm, reinforced leather corners, and a leather tassel on a metal zipper closure … Anita is a chic companion for a special night out.

This model currently comes in three different designs:

With our SS18 Collection we aimed for a spin on spring that doesn't stop at played-out pastels. With a variety of fresh and playful takes on Zapotec designs, we hope to offer something modern, yet rooted in tradition.
